Vietnam Vet Radio is a unique one-of-a-kind internet radio
station in that it is a non-traditional ministry to Vietnam War
Veterans, their families, and friends. Vietnam Vet Radio
believes, as did the founders of this great country, that Life,
Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness is a God-given right to
every human being. Veterans of the Vietnam War, during their
service in-country and upon returning home, were generally
looked upon as less-than-deserving of that right. As a result a
spiritual battle has been going on in the minds and hearts of a
great many Vietnam War veterans; a struggle that has lasted for
decades and continues to affect, not only the veteran, but
family and friends as well.
Bennie P. Blount, founder and manager of Vietnam Vet Radio, is
an ordained minister and fellow Vietnam War veteran. He was
ordained in a small rural Baptist church, Bethel Baptist Church
in Prescott, Arkansas, in 1978. It is not the plan of Vietnam
Vet Radio to teach or promote any denominational doctrine or
religious creed. Rather, we believe that by helping to restore
the dignity and respect of Vietnam Veterans we can bring Life,
Liberty, and Happiness in its fullness to every Vietnam War
veteran. We do this, not by traditional preaching and teaching.
We do this by presenting positive dialog and playing the music
we all enjoyed in the days of our innocence. Joy is a gift from
God. Our goal is to bring that gift to every Vietnam Veteran.
